The Lions Eye Bank of Oregon Vision Research Lab is a leader in scientific research on corneal surgery. We support the largest database of prospectively collected patient data on endothelial keratoplasty. This database dates back to 2000 and has enabled the lab to publish dozens of scientific articles on issues surrounding EK. We are also dedicated to the monitoring and evaluation of new tools, techniques, and emerging trends in EK procedures. Our easy and inexpensive method for evaluating damage to the corneal endothelium has been quickly embraced by the ophthalmology research community, and we use this method to evaluate new surgical techniques and devices.
